It is used as a sedative to relieve mental stress and as a febrifuge. It is used for such symptoms as: forgetfulness, insomnia, restlessness, palpitation, fatigue, oral ulceration, dry stools, constipation, oral suppurative infection, mental exhaustion, emotional instability, spermatorrhea, hypertension, energy drained by over-mental activity. Contraindication: For a person with Spleen and Stomach asthenia, loose stools, or stagnancy of phlegm and dampness.
